In 2016, my husband Paul and I welcomed our first little boy into the world. Upon first glimpse of our sweet baby, it was reconfirmed in my heart that being a stay-at-home mom was the right choice for both me and my family. I quit my full-time position as an assistant at a law firm, and I began to make the transition to being a full-time homemaker.

Two short months later, Paul took a new job across the country to become a youth minister. We had always tried to be frugal and live within our means, but we were used to constantly eating out and having a lot of spending money each week. A new job that paid less, hospital bills, and a new member added to the family meant we had to reconfigure how we lived and what we put money towards.

It was in this season that I found myself searching Google and Pinterest for ways to afford staying at home with my precious baby. I looked up ways to save, ways to earn, and ways to love the life I was living. I desperately wanted to stay home, but I was still trying to hold onto the lifestyle we had lived when we had two full time incomes. I began to focus on ways I could make our home beautiful with what we had, different solutions to eating well on a budget, and family activities that wouldn’t break the bank. A couple of years later, we moved once again to the beautiful state of Texas, and two months later we welcomed our second son into the world.

With every move, I have focused on crafting a new place to call “home” while making necessary financial and lifestyle adjustments. It is my goal to create a home where Christ dwells and my family loves to be. Every season of life has presented its own set of challenges, but each has also brought so much joy. Through every valley and on every mountain top, God has shown Himself to be good and faithful. Friends, I am so glad you have come to join me on this journey, and I can’t wait to hear from you!
